TO ENCOURAGE ASIAN AMERICANS AND PACIFIC ISLANDERS TO ENTER THE RANKS OF JOURNALISM WORK FOR FAIR AND ACCURATE COVERAGE INCREASE THE NUMBER OF JOURNALISTS AND NEWS MANAGERS IN THE INDUSTRY.

DUE TO THE ONGOING COVID PANDEMIC AAJA CONTINUED TO ADAPT TO VIRTUAL MEETINGS TO HELP THOSE IN THE JOURNALISM INDUSTRY HANDLE THE MANY CHALLENGES. VIA ZOOM MEETINGS WE WERE ABLE TO STAY CONNECTED ENCOURAGE AND PRESENT OUR EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL. OUR VIRTUAL ANNUAL CONFERENCE WAS A GREAT SUCCESS AGAIN THIS YEAR WITH STRONG SPONSORSHIP AND VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION.


SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. AAJA PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS TO DESERVING STUDENTS COMMITTED TO A CAREER IN JOURNALISM. THE PROGRAM IS OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS. JOURNALISM SCHOLARSHIPS INTERNSHIP GRANTS MEDIA INTERNSHIPS JOURNALISM TRAINING AND GRADUATE SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE ALL AVAILABLE.
