CRLA'S MISSION IS TO FURTHER EDUCATION BY DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION ON EDUCATIONAL ADVANCEMENT AND TRAINING OF EDUCATORS. THIS MISSION IS ACCOMPLISHED BY CONDUCTING AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE, PUBLISHING NEWSLETTERS AND HANDBOOKS, MAINTAINING CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS FOR TUTOR TRAINING, AND MENTOR TRAINING.

THE ASSOCIATION HAS AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE THAT PROVIDES INTENSIVE DISSEMINATION OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING, PEDAGOGICAL RESEARCH, AND INFORMATION FOR ITS MEMBERS.


THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES STATE AND REGIONAL PROGRAMS, MEMBER CERTIFICATION, PROFESSIONAL INTEREST GROUPS, ADVOCACY OF STANDARDS AND BEST PRACTICES, PROGRAM AND PROFESSIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR IMPROVEMENT OF THE PROFESSION, AND PRODUCTION OF MEMBER PUBLICATIONS FOR THE DISSEMINATION OF PROFESSIONAL RESEARCH AND INFORMATION.


TRAIN THE TRAINERS IN MENTOR AND TUTOR TRAINING PROGRAMS WITH THE TOOLS FOR DEVELOPING PROGRAMS FOR MENTORS AND TUTORS THAT MEET PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS AND BEST PRACTICES.
