THE MISSION OF THE AMERICAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION IS TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP FOR THE DEVELOPMENT, PROMOTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SERVICES AND THE PROFESSION OF LIBRARIANSHIP IN ORDER TO ENHANCE LEARNING AND ENSURE ACCESS TO INFORMATION FOR ALL.

MUTUAL MEMBERSHIP BENEFIT PROGRAMS, GENERAL/OTHER-MEMBERSHIP SERVICES PROVIDED IN CONJUNCTION WITH MEMBER PARTICIPATION. PERSONAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL MEMBERS TOTALED MORE THAN 50,000 AS OF AUGUST 31, 2021.


MUTUAL MEMBERSHIP BENEFIT PROGRAMS, GENERAL/OTHER-CONFERENCES ENABLE MEMBERS TO KEEP ABREAST OF THE LATEST TECHNOLOGICAL CAPABILITIES, NEW PUBLICATIONS AND TRENDS IN THE PROFESSION. THREE MAJOR CONFERENCES, SEVERAL NATIONAL FORUMS AND A VARIETY OF INSTITUTES WERE HELD DURING THE YEAR.
