THE MISSION OF CASBHC IS TO OPTIMIZE HEALTH AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH ACCESS TO QUALITY INTEGRATED HEALTH CARE IN SCHOOLS.

Part 3 - Line 4a

1. CASBHC PROVIDED TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTERS STATEWIDE. THERE ARE CURRENTLY 65 SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTERS IN COLORADO SERVING NEARLY 37,000 YOUNG PEOPLE ANNUALLY. CASBHC HOSTED WORKSHOPS, WEBINARS, AND A CONFERENCE ATTENDED BY 120 PEOPLE ON TOPICS INCLUDING QUALITY IMPROVEMENT, CLINICAL SKILLS, AND BEST PRACTICES IN SCHOOL HEALTH. 2. CASBHC PROVIDED SUPPORT TO COMMUNITIES PLANNING TO OPEN NEW SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTERS. 3. CASBHC ADVOCATED FOR POLICIES AND PROGRAMS, INCLUDING STATE FUNDING AND PUBLIC HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAMS - THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THE SUSTAINABILITY OF SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTERS. 4. CASBHC MAINTAINED COMMUNICATION TOOLS TO ASSIST MEMBERS AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTERS.
