PROVIDE EDUCATION AND TRAINING FOR MEMBERS THROUGH MEETINGS, CONFERENCE CALLS, WEBINARS, WEBSITES, AND MORE. INFORMATION PROVIDED TO MEMBERS IS PERTINENT TO THE FIELD OF PUBLIC HEALTH NUTRITION. FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR TRAVEL EXPENSES IS PROVIDED TO MEMBERS TO ASSIST IN THEIR PARTICIPATION IN MEETINGS. THESE TRAININGS HAVE INCLUDED THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: STRATEGIES TO REDUCE OBESITY, INCREASE THE INCIDENCE OF BREASTFEEDING, DECREASING SCREEN TIME, INCREASING FRUIT/VEGETABLE CONSUMPTION, UPDATES FROM FEDERAL PARTNERS, REDUCING CONSUMPTION OF SODIUM, MATERNAL AND CHILD NUTRITION PROGRAMS, HEALTH DISPARITIES, AND NUTRITION AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY.
