USA FOR IOM'S MISSION IS TO BROADEN PUBLIC AWARENESS AND MOBILIZE PRIVATE SECTOR RESOURCES IN SUPPORT OF DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS THAT PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO MIGRANTS AND DISPLACED PERSONS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

IN 2021, THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDED A GRANT TO THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR MIGRATION AS PART OF THE SECOND PHASE OF THE "SUPPORTING THE PRODUCTIVE INTEGRATION OF VENEZUELAN MIGRANTS IN LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN" PROGRAM, WHICH WILL ADVANCE SOCIOECONOMIC INTEGRATION OF VENEZUELAN MIGRANTS IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, ECUADOR, PERU AND TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO.


IN 2021, THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDED A GRANT TO THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR MIGRATION AS PART OF THE SECOND TRANCHE OF THE "CENTRAL AMERICAN MINOR PAROLEE PROGRAM," WHICH COVERS THE FAMILY REUNIFICATION OF MINORS FROM HONDURAS, GUATEMALA AND EL SALVADOR WITH THEIR FAMILIES IN THE UNITED STATES. THE PROJECT IS MANAGED AND IMPLEMENTED BY INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR MIGRATION'S UNITED STATES REFUGEE ADMISSIONS PROGRAM (IOM USRAP).


IN 2021, THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDED GRANTS TO THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR MIGRATION FOR THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS: A $50,000 GRANT TO EXTEND THE PROJECT "INNOVATION IN HUMANITARIAN CONTEXTS," WHICH WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROPOSING STRATEGIES TO SUCCESSFULLY FACILITATE AND ENHANCE THE INNOVATIVE WORK OF IOM IN THE FIELD; A $27,000 GRANT TO SUPPORT THE ROHINGYA CULTURAL MEMORY CENTER IN BANGLADESH; AND A $20,000 GRANT TO SUPPORT IOM'S GLOBAL ASSISTANCE FUND (GAF) FOR MIGRANTS WHO ARE VULNERABLE TO OR HAVE EXPERIENCED VIOLENCE, EXPLOITATION, AND ABUSE WITHIN A MIGRATION CONTEXT.
