TO WORK THROUGH OUR PARTNERSHIPS TO UNITE ORGANIZATIONS, WORKING PEOPLE, AND RESOURCES TO BUILD A HEALTHIER COMMUNITY. FOCUS ON ORGANIZING COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS, PROVIDING A SAFETY NET FOR THOSE IN NEED VIA DIRECT SERVICES, OFFERING LEARNING SESSIONS AND RENT ASSISTANCE.

MAUI WILDFIRES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: HELP PROGRAM RAISED FUNDS FOR MAUI RESIDENTS WHO SUFFERED SEVERE LOSSES FROM THE AUGUST 2023 LAHAINA WILDFIRE. GIFT CARDS AND CHECKS WERE DISTRIBUTED TO 243 MAUI RESIDENTS AND CONTINUED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AWARDED TO THIS POPULATION WHO REMAINED RESIDENT IN MAUI IN 2023. ALSO, THERE WERE FOUR SHIPPING CONTAINERS OF DONATIONS (INCLUDING FOOTWARE, CLEANING PRODUCTS, MASKS, COTS, FEMININE HYGIENE PRODUCTS, AND OTHER GOODS) DISTRIBUTED TO MAUI RESIDENTS IN NEED OF SUPPLIES.


OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDE LEARNING SESSIONS, EDUCATIONAL GRANTS, FOOD PROGRAM, AND RENT ASSISTANCE


LABOR OF LOVE: THIS IS A LARGE-SCALE COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT THAT WORKS CLOSELY WITH A HIGH-NEED HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TITLE-1 SCHOOL TO MAKE CAMPUS IMPEOVEMENTS. THE PROJECT WAS HELD AT DOLE MIDDLE SCHOOL IN KALIHI. HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEER CAME TO INSTALL BENCHES, ASSEMBLE AND PAINT PICNIC TABLES, PAINT THE CAMPUS COMPLEX, RESTRIPE THE PARKING LOT, INSTALL A WASHER AND DRYER FOR STUDENTS WHO DO NOT HAVE REGULAR ACCESS TO DO LANDRY, INSTALL A BOTTLE-FILL WATER FOUNDATION STATEION, REPAIR DECKING, AND BEAUTIFY THE CAFETERIA COUTRYARD. THE PROGRAM ALSO SPONSORED A CAREER PATHWAYS EVENT TO CONNECT STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO JOB AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. THE TOTAL VALUE OF CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE SCHOOL WAS $85,000.


GOLF TOURNAMENT: THIS ANNUAL TOURNEMANT IS A FUNDRAISER EVENT WHITH ALL PROCEEDS RAISED FOR THE HELP PROGRAM. IN LIGHT OF THE LAHAINA WIDLFIRE, ONE OF THE WORST NATURAL DISASTERS IN THE COUNTRYS HISTORY, THE HELP BOARD ALLOCATED ALL FUNDS RAISED FROM THE 2023 GOLF TOURNEMENT TO THE HELP EMERGENCY FUND.
