COLUMBUS WORKS IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION PROVIDING HOPE AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO AREA RESIDENTS LIVING IN POVERTY WHO DESIRE TO ADVANCE TO ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY THROUGH EMPLOYMENT. WE OFFER A UNIQUELY TRANSFORMATIONAL APPROACH TO ELIMINATING POVERTY IN CENTRAL OHIO, THROUGH DELIVERY OF HOLISTIC JOB READINESS SERVICES AND OUR NETWORK OF EMPLOYER PARTNERS.

SERVED 230 INDIVIDUALS IN TRAINING, REFERRAL AND FULL WRAP AROUND SUPPORT AND COACHING SERVICES. INCLUDES OVER 45 HOURS EACH OF INSTRUCTION, ONE-ON-ONE REGULAR MEETINGS WITH COLUMBUS WORKS' EMPLOYMENT COACH, AND PROFESSIONAL LIFE COACHING; USE OF OUR COMPUTER LABS EQUIPPED WITH FULL MICROSOFT SOFTWARE PACKAGE AND INTERNET ACCESS; 60% ACCEPTED FULL-TIME JOBS EARING 22% INCREASE IN WAGES.
INDIRECT PROGRAM EXPENSES SUCH AS VOUCHERS FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM TRAINING, TO/FROM INTERVIEWS, TO/FROM FIRST DAY ON NEW JOBS; MEALS DURING TRAINING, DRUG TESTS, BACKGROUND SCREENS, SPECIAL CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT FOR WORK.
