BRINGING TOGETHER BUSINESS, GOVERNMENT AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO BUILD A MORE PROSPEROUS,EQUITABLE AND SUSTAINABLE COLORADO BASED ON OUR SHARED VALUES.

POLICY ADVOCACY: GBC MEMBERS FORMULATE, EVALUATE, AND ADVOCATE FOR A WIDE RANGE OF POLICIES AIMED AT BUILDING A MORE PROSPEROUS, EQUITABLE AND SUSTAINABLE COLORADO. EACH YEAR, GBC MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN A POLICY PRIORITIES SURVEY THAT ESTABLISHES OUR FOCUS FOR THE UPCOMING LEGISLATIVE SESSION. IN 2021 NEARLY 200 GBC MEMBERS ENGAGED IN OVER 600 ACTIVITIES AIMED AT SUPPORTING THE 30 POLICIES THE ORGANIZATION WORKED ON AT THE COLORADO STATE LEGISLATURE.


HELPING GOOD BUSINESSES BE BETTER: GBC OFFERS A VARIETY OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING AIMED AT HELPING BUSINESS OWNERS LEARN ABOUT VOLUNTARY BUSINESS PRACTICES THAT BUILD A MORE PROSPEROUS, EQUITABLE AND SUSTAINABLE COLORADO. IN 2021, WE HOSTED 43 HELPING GOOD BUSINESSES BE BETTER EDUCATIONAL EVENTS, PRESENTATIONS, WORKSHOPS, AND MEETINGS, SUCH AS PRESENTING EACH SEMESTER TO THE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CERTIFICATE PROGRAM AND TO YOUTH BIZ YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS TO WORKSHOPS ON BEST PRACTICES FOR EMPLOYING MARGINALIZED WORKERS, AND DEMYSTIFYING LOCAL POLITICS & WHY YOUR VOICE MATTERS.


MEMBER SERVICES: GBC WORKS HARD TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH GBC MEMBERS AND CONNECT THEM TO FELLOW MEMBERS FOR MUTUAL BENEFIT. GBC ALSO SUPPORTS MEMBERS BY HELPING THEM NAVIGATE AND ACCESS RESOURCES FOR SUCCESS SUCH AS HR, LEGAL SUPPORT, FINANCIAL SERVICES, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATIONS CONSULTING. GBC ALSO PURSUES INITIATIVES AIMED AT PROMOTING GBC MEMBERS AND GETTING THEM IN FROM OF CONSCIENTIOUS CONSUMERS.
