TO PROMOTE AND PRESERVE THE CULTURE AND HERITAGE OF THE SCANDINAVIAN PEOPLE. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES VARIOUS SCHOLARSHIP FOR HIGHER EDUCATION AS WELL AS SCANDINAVIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURAL PROGRAMS.

DISTRICT CONVENTION - THE ANNUAL WEEKEND CONVENTION BRINGS TOGETHER ALL LOCAL LODGES IN THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AREA TO REVIEW OVERALL OPERATIONS, MAKES DECISIONS ABOUT THE CLUB, SOCIALIZE, AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS, AND REVIEW SWEDISH CULTURAL UPDATES. EDUCATION FUNDS - EACH YEAR SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED TO QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WITHIN THE DISTRICT. THE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED FOR VARIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAMS, INCLUDING UNDERGRADUATE, GRADUATE, MEDICAL AND VOCATAIONAL/TRADE EDUCATION. ALSO OFFERED ARE SCHAOLARSHIPS TO ATTENED SWEDISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURAL CAMPS LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES AND SWEDEN. EACH YEAR THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE REVIEWS THE APPLICATIONS AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTS BEFORE AWARDING THE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EACH CATEGORY. THOSE CHOSEN ARE AWARDED THEIR SCHOLARSHIPS AT THE ANNUAL CONVENTION HELD IN FEBRUARY. SPRINGFEST PICNIC - THIS EVENT CELEBRATES SPRING WITH VARIOUS SCANDINAVIAN PARTICIPANTS, INCLUDNG SWEDISH FOLK DANCERS AND MUSIC, FOOD, GIFT BOOTHS, VIKING REENACTMENTS, AMOUNG OTHER ACTIVIIES.
