IN 2023, CENTRAL WORKS PRODUCED 3 WORLD-PREMIERE PLAYS, 2 OF WHICH WERE DEVELOPED IN THE CENTRAL WORKS WRITERS WORKSHOP OVER THE PREVIOUS YEAR. WE CONTINUED PRODUCING OUR ONLINE PODCAST PROGRAM, CREATING 3 NEW EPISODES OF THE "CENTRAL WORKS SCRIPT CLUB" ALONG WITH 42 EPISODES OF "THE YAY" - A WEEKLY PODCAST WHICH INTERVIEWS MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL THEATER COMMUNITY. WE ALSO CONTINUED THE CENTRAL WORKS WRITERS WORKSHOP (TWO 12-WEEK COMMISSIONING PROGRAMS OFFERED TO 8 INVITED WRITERS). 2 MORE PLAYS DEVELOPED IN THE WRITERS WORKSHOP WERE SELECTED FOR PRODUCTION FOR OUR 2024 SEASON.
