THE SAFELY SINGING TOGETHER PROGRAM FORMED A CRUCIAL PART OF THE PORTLAND SYMPHONIC CHOIR'S SUCCESSFUL RETURN TO SERVING OUR COMMUNITY OF SINGERS AND MEMBERS, AUDIENCES, AND STUDENT CHORISTERS. IN TOTAL, THE CHOIR SPENT NEARLY $6,500 ON COVID MITIGATION SUPPLIES IN ADDITION TO OUR NORMAL PROGRAM EXPENSES, INCLUDING SPECIALIZED RESONANCE SINGERS' MASKS, HEPA FILTERS, AND TOUCHLESS TEMPERATURE CHECKS. FOR THE 2021-2022 SEASON, THE CHOIR MET OUR MOST IMPORTANT MEASURES OF SUCCESS: WE RESUMED DELIVERY OF SERVICES, IN PERSON, WITH NO COVID TRANSMISSION RECORDED FROM CHOIR REHEARSALS OR PERFORMANCES. AS PART OF SINGING SAFELY TOGETHER, PSC PERFORMED WITH ANDREA BOCELLI AND REACHED AN AUDIENCE OF NEARLY 1,000 PEOPLE IN PERSON BETWEEN BOTH THE "WINTERSONG" CONCERT AND THE "VOICES FOR UKRAINE" CONCERT.
