NORTHWEST CHOIRS COMMITTED TO SLOWING THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 BY INDEFINITELY CANCELING IN-PERSON REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES, BUT WE NEVER STOPPED MAKING MUSIC TOGETHER. OUR CHORISTERS IN THE NORTHWEST BOYCHOIR AND VOCALPOINT! SEATTLE CONTINUED MEETING, REHEARSING, AND PERFORMING ONLINE, PROVIDING MUCH NEEDED SOCIAL AND CREATIVE OUTLETS TO OUR YOUNG MUSICANS. WHILE OUR VIRTUAL REHEARSALS LOOK A LITTLE DIFFERENT, WE ARE AS COMMITTED AS EVER TO FULFILLING THE MISSION OF NORTHWEST CHOIRS IN PROVIDING THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF MUSIC AND VOCAL EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE GREATER COMMUNITY WITH A UNIQUE CHORAL RESOURCE. IN ADDITION TO MAINTAINING OUR WEEKLY REHEARSALS, OUR CHOIRSTERS TOOK ON AMBITIOUS RECORDING PROJECTS, LEARNING THE CRAFT OF HOME RECORDING AND FINDING NEW AUDIENCES ON THE DITIGAL STAGE. SINCE MARCH 2020, OUR ONLINE COMMUNITY HAS QUADRUPLED IN SIZE, WITH OVER 150,000 NEW AND RETURNING FANS FROM AROUND THE WORLD CELEBRATING OUR PERFORMERS.
