AMTE'S 2018 ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF MATHEMATICS TEACHER EDUCATORS INCLUDES WORKSHOPS, PRESENTATIONS OF RESEARCH RESULTS, DISCUSSION GROUPS, AND A GENERAL BUSINESS MEETING. APPROXIMATELY 572 MEMBERS SERVED FOR FOUR DAYS.


IN COLLABORATION WITH THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF TEACHERS MATHEMATICS (NCTM), AMTE LAUNCHED A PROFESSIONAL JOURNAL FOR MATHEMATICS TEACHER EDUCATORS. THE PUBLICATION IS AVAILABLE TO ALL AMTE MEMBERS AT NO CHARGE, AND AMTE BEARS A PORTION OF THE PUBLICATION COST AS PART OF THE COLLABORATION WITH NCTM.


OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF AMTE INCLUDE AWARDING THE SUSAN GAY GRADUATE STUDENT CONFERENCE TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS, SUPPORTING THE STAR (SERVICE, TEACHING, AND RESEARCH) PROGRAM, AND THE ELEMENTARY MATHEMATICS SPECIALIST SCHOLARSHIPS.
