THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF FORENSIC SCIENCES IS A MULTI-DISCIPLINARY PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES LEADERSHIP TO ADVANCE SCIENCE AND ITS APPLICATION TO THE LEGAL SYSTEM. THE OBJECTIVES OF THE ACADEMY ARE TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE COLLABORATION IN THE FIELD OF FORENSIC SCIENCE.
