FOUNDED IN 2020 IN RESPONSE TO THE ACUTE CRISIS CRATED BY THE COVID-19 SHUDOWN OF LIVE MUSIC, NEW ENGLAND MUSICIANS RELIEF FUND (NEMRF) OFFERS FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO MUSICIANS EXPERIENCING EXTRAORDINARY HARDSHIP. THE PANDEMIC LAID BARE HOW LITTLE A SAFETY NET EXISTS FOR FREELANCE PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS. NEMRF IS COMMITTED TO BUILDING A LONG LASTING SAFETY NET FOR PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS IN NEW ENGLAND SO THAT THEY CAN CONTINUE TO MAKE THE MUSIC WE LOVE.DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021, THE NEMRF ASSISTED 74 MUSICIANS WITH A $1,000 GRANT.
