HOUSEHOLD GOODS OPERATES AS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION BASED IN ACTON, MASSACHUSETTS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES A FULL RANGE OF DONATED FURNITURE AND HOUSEHOLD GOODS, FREE OF CHARGE, TO HELP PEOPLE IN NEED MAKE A HOME. VOLUNTEERS RECEIVE, PROCESS AND DISTRIBUTE FURNITURE AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED IN MASSACHUSETTS WHO HAVE BEEN REFERRED BY A SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCY. AS AN ORGANIZATION STAFFED BY VOLUNTEERS AND COORDINATED BY FIVE PAID EMPLOYEES, HOUSEHOLD GOODS, INC. DEPENDS ON THE GENEROSITY OF THE COMMUNITY FOR GOODS, TIME, AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT. IN 2021 OVER 511 VOLUNTEERS FURNISHED LIVING SPACES FOR 7,000 CHILDREN AND ADULTS REFERRED FROM 300 SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES.
