BY WORKING WITH HOUSING PROVIDERS TO REDUCE BARRIERS, HOUSING CONNECTOR INCREASES THE AVAILABLE AND ACCESSIBLE HOUSING INVENTORY SO COMMUNITIES CAN MOVE MORE PEOPLE INTO HOMES.

HOUSING CONNECTOR IS A BUSINESS TO BUSINESS NON-PROFIT THAT BELIEVES NO UNITS SHOULD SIT VACANT WHILE INDIVIDUALS ARE IN NEED OF A HOME. LAUNCHED IN 2019, HOUSING CONNECTOR PARTNERS WITH HOUSING PROVIDERS TO REDUCE SCREENING CRITERIA RELATED TO CREDIT SCORE, CRIMINAL HISTORY, RENTAL HISTORY, AND PAST DEBT SO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED OF A HOME HAVE INCREASED ACCESS TO HOUSING PREVIOUSLY OUT OF REACH. IN EXCHANGE FOR LOWERED CRITERIA, HOUSING PROVIDERS RECEIVE FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND MITIGATIONS TO REDUCE RISK AND ENSURE HOUSEHOLDS REMAIN STATELY HOUSED. THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH 850+ PROPERTIES AND 88 SERVICE PROVIDER ORGANIZATIONS, HOUSING CONNECTOR HAS HOUSED OVER 2,000 INDIVIDUALS AS OF AUGUST 2021.
