DAILY WORK TO FOUND, DEVELOP, POPULATE AND CHAIR THE BOARD OF ASPEN JOURNALISM, A LOCAL NON PROFIT INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING ORGANIZATION GROWING RAPIDLY, WINNING MAJOR JOURNALISM AWARDS EACH YEAR AND TO SOON BEGIN PUBLISHING THE ASPEN JOURNAL.DAILY WORK TO FUND AND GUIDE THE MISSION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE HUNTER CREEK HISTORICAL FOUNDATION, WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE WHITE RIVER NATIONAL FOREST, HISTORICORP, AND THE TRUST FOR PUBLIC LAND TO STABILIZE AND PRESERVE THE REMAINING STRUCTURES IN THE HUNTER CREEK VALLEY AND THE IMPORTANT CULTURAL AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL HISTORY OF THE VALLEY SUPPLYING THE EARLY SILVER MINING TOWN THE FIRST DAIRY FARM, PRODUCE, SAWMILL AND PRISTINE FRESH WATER AND LATER THE FIRST HYDRO POWER FROM THE 1880'S ON.ONGOING FUNDRAISING FOR ASPEN JOURNALISM, ASPEN VALLEY LAND TRUST, HUNTER CREEK HISTORICAL FOUNDATION, WILDERNESS WORKSHOP AND THE CARBONDALE CLAY CENTER.ADDITIONAL EFFORTS THROUGHOUT 2021 AND BEYOND MANAGING PUBLIC COUNSEL ALSO INCLUDED DAILY MONITORING AND ENFORCEMENT OF EARLIER PUBLIC COUNSEL VICTORIES SUCH AS PROHIBITING OIL & GAS OPERATORS FROM INCHING CLOSER AND CLOSER TO THE RULISON DRILLING SITE WHERE NUCLEAR FRAK'ING TOOK PLACE IN 1969 AND THE SOIL, WATER AND AIR IS CONTAMINATED BY LETHAL AND RADIOACTIVE RADIONUCLIDES IN IMMEDIATE PROXIMITY TO RULISON CREEK AND MANY NEARBY HOMES; MONITORING COMPLIANCE WITH SUPREME COURT VICTORY IN FITZGERALD V WOLFE WHICH PROHIBITED DRILLING AND FRAK'ING IN THE SEARCH FOR COAL BED METHANE GAS IN LOCATIONS THAT WOULD CONTAMINATE SURFACE AND GROUND WATER USED BY SCORES OF NEARBY FARMERS AND RANCHERS; AND WORKING CLOSELY WITH PITKIN COUNTY OPEN SPACE AND ASPEN VALLEY LAND TRUST STAFF TO IDENTIFY AND THEN SECURE LARGE PERMANENT CONSERVATION EASEMENTS PROHIBITING DEVELOPMENT IN AREAS OF RICH BIODIVERSITY, LANDS LEASED FOR LOCAL FOOD PRODUCTION, AND LANDS WITH FRAGILE ECOSYSTEMS AND ABUNDANT WILDLIFE HABITAT.
