THE LOUISVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION IS A 501(C)(3) NON-PROFIT AND COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION. OUR MISSION IS TO ENRICH OUR COMMUNITY BY BUILDING SUPPORT AND RAISING MONEY TO ENHANCE THE LOUISVILLE LIBRARYS PROGRAMS AND SERVICES SERVING THE COMMUNITIES OF LOUISVILLE AND SUPERIOR. IN THE LAST YEAR WE HAVE RAISED MONEY TO REPLACE BOOKS LOST DUE TO THE MARSHALL FIRE, SUPPORT THE SUMMER READING PROGRAM, AND VARIOUS OTHER COMMUNITY PROGRAMS AND LITERACY EVENTS AT THE LIBRARY.

LOUISVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION SUPPLIES LIBRARY MATERIALS INCLUDING FUNDING FOR THE LIBRARY'S READ BABY PROGRAM THAT OFFERS BOARD BOOKS TO NEWBORNS AND THEIR PARENTS AND SPONSORS STORY TIMES AT THE LIBRARY FOR YOUNG CHILDREN


READING PROGRAMS TO KEEP CHILDREN, YOUTH AND ADULTS ACTIVELY ENGAGED IN READING THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, INCLUDED IN THIS IS THE SUMMER READING PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES INCENTIVES TO THOSE WHO REACH THEIR GOALS.


THE LOIUSVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY MAKERSPACE PROVIDES LEARNERS OF ALL AGES A PLACE TO COLLABORATE ON CREATIVE PROJECTS IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ART AND MATH (STEAM). THE MAKERSPACE PROVIDES LEARNERS WITH HANDS ON EXPERIENCE AND INSTRUCTION IN 3D MODELING/ PRINTING, ROBOTICS, CODING AND A VARIENTY OF CRAFTS. LEARNERS ARE ABLE TO 1. DESIGN 3D MODELS AND PRINT ON MINI 3D PRINTER. 2. CREATE VIDEOS USING A GREEN SCREEN 3. CREATE IRON -ON TRANSFERS USING A CRICUT MACHINE 4. COMPOSE, RECORD AND EDIT MUSIC 5. MAKE JEWELRY AND MUCH MORE.
