THE YMCA OF BOULDER VALLEY IS AN ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO STRENGTHENING THE FOUNDATIONS OF COMMUNITY THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT ARE BASED ON THREE AREAS OF FOCUS: YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, HEALTHY LIVING AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. OUR ORGANIZATION, FOUNDED ON CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES, FOCUSES ON PROGRAMS THAT ALSO BUILD A HEALTHY SPIRIT, MIND AND BODY FOR ALL. THE YMCA PARTNERS WITH KINDRED ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COMMUNITY THAT ESPOUSE THOSE SAME VALUES. THESE PARTNERSHIPS CREATE GREATER EFFICIENCY, STRONGER OUTCOMES AND ENHANCED STEWARDSHIP OF DONATED DOLLARS.

HEALTHY LIVING: THE Y ADVOCATES HEALTHY LIVING THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT FOCUS ON SPIRIT, MIND AND BODY. IN 2021, 85,000 PEOPLE WERE PROVIDED THE SUPPORTIVE RELATIONSHIPS AND ENVIRONMENTS THEY NEEDED TO SUCCESSFULLY PURSUE GOOD HEALTH. ADULTS PARTICIPATED IN DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAMS, PHYSICAL REHABILITATION, PROGRAMS FOR PARKINSON'S AND CANCER SURVIVORS, LIVESTRONG CANCER SUPPORT PROGRAM, ARTHRITIS SUPPORT, HEALTH SCREENINGS AND LECTURES, FITNESS AND SOCIAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS, GROUP EXERCISE AND SPECIALTY FITNESS CLASSES, PERSONAL TRAINING AND "SPIRIT MIND BODY" CLASSES SUCH AS YOGA AND STRETCHING. THE Y'S EMPHASIS ON HEALTHY LIVING EDUCATION IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT AS OUR NATION STRUGGLES WITH WORK/LIFE BALANCE AND PERSONAL FULFILLMENT. OUR FAMILY PROGRAMS BRING FAMILIES TOGETHER, OFFER EDUCATION, SUPPORT, NURTURING, AND SOCIAL NETWORKS THAT BUILD RELATIONSHIPS AND STRENGTHEN FAMILY BONDS. YOUTH DEVELOPMENT: THE YMCA IS A LEADER IN NURTURING THE POTENTIAL OF EVERY CHILD AND TEEN. EVERY YEAR, THE YMCA HELPS MORE THAN 50,000 LOCAL YOUTH THROUGH PROGRAMS SUCH AS BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE, SCHOOL DAY OFF PROGRAMS, AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT CLASSES IN THE LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, DAY AND RESIDENT CAMPING, YOUTH SPORTS, TEEN LEADERSHIP CAMPS AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS, FREE WATER SAFETY PROGRAMS, SWIM TEAMS AND SWIM LESSONS. ALL YMCA PROGRAMS OFFER A RANGE OF EXPERIENCES THAT BROADEN COGNITIVE, SOCIAL, PHYSICAL, AND EMOTIONAL GROWTH. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: THE Y PROVIDES A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS THAT HELP PEOPLE DEEPEN POSITIVE VALUES, LEARN THE VALUE OF GIVING BACK, AND COMMIT TO LEARNING. THE Y PARTNERS WITH MORE THAN 20 LOCAL COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO IDENTIFY NEEDS AND RESPOND TO THEM - SUCH AS PROGRAMS FOR AT-RISK TEENS, AFTER SCHOOL VOLUNTEER WORK, LEADERSHIP IN TRAINING PROGRAMS, INTERNSHIPS, EMPLOYMENT AND VALUES BASED PROGRAMMING. IN 2021, THE Y ENGAGED 6,000 YOUTH AND YOUNG HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN PROGRAMS THAT DEVELOPED SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, STRENGTHENED THE COMMUNITY, AND HELPED BUILD THE FOUNDATION FOR GENERATIONS TO THRIVE.
