IN 2022 DUE TO COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS THE FESTIVAL WAS HELD IN A VIRTUAL FORMAT BENEFITTING 976 STUDENT MUSICIANS FROM 13 STATES AND CANADA. 41SCHOOLS PARTICIPATED. EDUCATIONAL CLINICS, MASTER CLASSES AND COLLEGIATE PERFORMANCES HELD THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND AIRED ON YOUTUBE. A CELEBRATORY AWARD CEREMONY HELD AT THE END OF THE DAY. THE FESTIVAL IS THE LARGEST INDEPENDENT HIGH SCHOOL JAZZ FESTIVAL IN THE EASTERN US.
ON APRIL 22, 2023 THE FESTIVAL WAS HELD IN PERSON AT THE PENNSYLVANIA CONVENTION CENTER IN PHILADELPHIA AND ALSO IN A VIRTUAL FORMAT. 1,444 STUDENT MUSICIANS FROM 19 STATES AND 1 TERRITORY. 60 SCHOOLS PARTICIPATED.
