THE ACADEMY AT GLENGARY IS AN ACCREDITED PROGRAM OF CLUBHOUSE INTERNATIONAL, AND PART OF A WORLDWIDE NETWORK OF REHABILITATION FACILITIES THAT PROVIDES VOCATIONAL AND PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION TO ADULTS, 18 YEARS AND OLDER, LIVING WITH MENTAL ILLNESSES. CLIENTS, CORRECTLY REFERRED TO AS "MEMBERS" ARE PROVIDED WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR WELLNESS, SOCIALIZATION, COMMUNITY REINTEGRATION, VOCATIONAL TRAINING, EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT IN A CARING AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT - SO THEY CAN PARTICIPATE FULLY AS VALUED AND PRODUCTIVE MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.

JOB READINESS SKILL TRAINING: MEMBERS CAN CHOOSE FROM A WIDE RANGE OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING AREAS, INCLUDING CULINARY ARTS, HOSPITALITY, PHONE RECEPTION, TECHNOLOGY, CUSTOMER SERVICE, ACCOUNTING, MULTIMEDIA AND GRAPHIC DESIGN.EMPLOYMENT PLACEMENT: MEMBERS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO ENGAGE IN TRANSITIONAL, SUPPORTED AND INDEPENDENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES.SOCIALIZATION/CULTURAL ACTIVITIES: MEMBERS ARE OFFERED OPPORTUNITIES FOR FRIENDSHIP AND SOCIALIZATION OUTSIDE THE NORMAL WORKDAY ON SELECT EVENINGS, WEEKENDS AND EVERY MAJOR HOLIDAY.
