AWESOME POSSUM LANDSCAPING: A SOCIAL ENTERPRISE UNDER NOC SOCIETY THAT TRAINS AND HIRES INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES IN THE FIELD OF LANDSCAPING. IN 2023 AWESOME POSSUM LANDSCAPING (APL) EXPANDED TO A TEAM OF FIVE CONTRACTED STAFF WHICH WERE INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES AND TWO CREW LEADS TO HELP LEAD THE TEAMS. THIS ALLOWED APL TO INCREASE IMPACT AND FURTHER OUR MISSION TO COMBAT THE 81% UNEMPLOYMENT RATE FOR ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES. IN TOTAL, APL STAFF WORKED OVER 2,000 HOURS IN 2023 IN ACTUAL ON-THE-JOB WORK HOURS. IN ADDITION, APL PROVIDED ONE 15-HOUR LANDSCAPING TRAINING FOR 5 INDIVIDUALS. THIS TRAINING GAVE INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES THE CHANCE TO LEARN ABOUT LANDSCAPING SAFETY, CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O


CAMP WITHOUT BORDERS: A FREE AND ACCESSIBLE TRAVEL PROGRAM FOR YOUNG ADULTS WITH MEDICAL ILLNESSES AND DISABILITIES. IN 2023, CAMP WITHOUT BORDERS PROVIDED THREE OVERNIGHT 3-DAY TRIPS - PORTLAND, OREGON CITY TOUR, LAKE CHELAN GETAWAY AND A CASCADE MOUNTAIN ADAPTIVE HIKING TRIP. IN ADDITION, CAMP WITHOUT BORDERS FACILITATED AN ACCESSIBLE CONCERT HIGHLIGHTING SEATTLE MUSICAL ACTS WITH DISABILITIES. - THE PORTLAND CITY TOUR SERVED 9 INDIVIDUALS AND FEATURED A TRAIL BLAZERS BASKETBALL GAME, TOURING THE CITY, AND SAMPLING THE AMAZING CUISINE OF PORTLAND. - THE LAKE CHELAN TRIP SERVED 9 INDIVIDUALS AND FEATURED BOATING ON LAKE CHELAN, ENJOYING SLIDEWATERS WATER PARK, CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O
