THE SOUTH DAKOTA SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL HAS PRESENTED CULTURAL, ARTISTIC, AND EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS TO THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA AND SURROUNDING REGIONS AT NO CHARGE TO AUDIENCES. THROUGH FREE PROFESSIONAL SHAKESPEARE PERFORMANCES AND ARTS EDUCATION EVENTS, SDSF DELIVERS PRODUCTIONS AND WORKSHOPS THAT ARE PRESENTED IN A LIVELY AND ACCESSIBLE FORMAT FOR ALL AGES. THIS YEAR, WE ENGAGED APPROXIMATELY 700 PATRONS WITH THE MAGIC OF SHAKESPEARE IN VERMILLION'S PRENTIS PARK. OUR EDUCATION AND OUTREACH PROGRAMMING IMPACTED AN ADDITIONAL 200 YOUTH AND ADULTS. THE SCOPE OF OUR WORK INCLUDES TALK-BACKS ABOUT THE PRODUCTIONS AND PARTNERSHIPS WITH VERMILLION'S PUBLIC LIBRARY, SANFORD SENIOR CARE CENTER, UPWARD BOUND, AND THE MINNEHAHA YOUTH DETENTION CENTER. EACH YEAR, WE ALSO GROW TO INCLUDE MULTIPLE LOCAL BUSINESSES IN THE FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES.
