ARKANSAS IMMIGRANT DEFENSE PROMOTES JUSTICE BY DEFENDING AND ADVANCING THE RIGHTS OF IMMIGRANTS AND REFUGEES THROUGH DIRECT LEGAL SERVICES, COMMUNITY EDUCATION, AND COMMUNITY ADVOCACY.

Part 3 - Line 4a

PROGRAMS ARE MADE AVAILABLE FOR LEGAL SERVICES, PROTECTION, AND OTHER DIRECT SUPPORT FOR IMMIGRANTS AND REFUGEES. LEGAL SERVICES ARE OFFERED ON A SLIDING FEE SCALE FOR ADULT CLIENTS. FEDERAL POVERTY GUIDELINES ARE USED TO DETERMINE WHAT PORTION OF OUR FEES, IF ANY, A CLIENT WILL PAY.


IMMIGRANTS AND REFUGEES ARE CONNECTED TO FOOD BANKS AND OTHER RESOURCES TO HELP CLIENTS MEET THEIR NUTRITIONAL NEEDS.DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC, ARKANSAS JUSTICE COLLECTIVE PIVOTED TO HELP CONNECT IMMIGRANTS AND REFUGEES WITH ADDITIONAL RESOURCES NEEDED DURING THIS TIME.


IMMIGRANTS AND REFUGEES ARE SCREENED FOR OTHER NEEDS LIKE MEDICAL OR MENTAL HEALTH CARE AND THEN CONNECTED TO OTHER RESOURCES THAT CAN HELP THEM. ARKANSAS IMMIGRANT DEFENSE (AID) HOPES TO SCREEN 500 POTENTIAL CLIENTS PER YEAR. AID MAINTAINS AN ACTIVE PROFILE ON SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS. THESE ARE USED TO ADVERTISE DIFFERENT COMMUNITY EVENTS AND WORKSHOPS.
