THE FLY BRAVE FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE FREE SERVICES PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES TO ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES WHO HAVE AGED OUT OF THE SCHOOL SYSTEM FOCUSING ON THREE ESSENTIAL BUILDING BLOCKS; PROVIDE HANDS-ON CAREER AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING; SOCIAL AND LIFE SKILLS CLASSES; EVENTS FASHION SHOW ART SHOW PROM AND WORKSHOPS ART COOKING PUBLIC SPEAKING; AND LIVING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE THROUGH FITNESS PROGRAMS.

FLY BRAVE STORE: FLY BRAVE'S BRICK-AND-MORTAR LOCATION PROVIDES HANDS-ON CAREER AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING IN A RETAIL ENVIRONMENT FOR ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES WHO HAVE AGED OUT OF THE SCHOOL SYSTEM AGES 18 AND OVER. THE STORE IS ALSO A PLATFORM FOR ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES TO VENDOR THEIR WORKS OF ART. IN 2022 FLY BRAVE TRAINED 22 YOUNG ADULTS AGES 18 - 36 IN ITS STORE. THIS SERVICE AS WITH ALL OF FLY BRAVE'S SERVICES IS OFFERED FREE OF CHARGE.
FLY BRAVE'S ART AND DESIGN PROGRAM: THIS PROGRAM SERVICES AS 1 AN EMPLOYMENT TRAINING PROGRAM FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AND 2 A SOCIAL OUTLET FOR ARTISTS TO GATHER AND CREATE IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT. ART WORKSHOPS ARE FREE OF CHARGE AND OFFERED ON SATURDAYS AT OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY CENTER FOR INDIVIDUALS AGES 5 AND OVER. FLY BRAVE PROVIDES FAMILIES ALL OF THE SUPPLIES NEEDED ALONG WITH A LIGHT SNACK. IN 2022 132 CHILDREN TEENS AND ADULTS WERE SERVED. THE ART AND DESIGN WORKSHOPS FOR THE ADULT ONLY POPULATION AGES 18 AND OVER TAKE PLACE DURING SHOP HOURS WITH A VOLUNTEER INSTRUCTOR. ARTISTS CREATE T-SHIRTS JEWELRY AND ACCESSORIES FOR SALE IN THE SHOP AND AT POP UP MARKET COMMUNITY EVENTS. ALSO ADDED THIS YEAR WAS MURAL WORK. ARTISTS CREATED A MURAL ON THE BACK OF THE FLY BRAVE STORE AND BEGAN ASSITING OTHER SMALL BUSINESSES WITH PAINTING MURALS ON THEIR WALLS.
FLY BRAVE'S FITNESS PROGRAM: FLY BRAVE OFFERS YEAR ROUND FITNESS PROGRAMS AND FITNESS EVENTS. FLY FIT IS A POLICE-FITNESS PROGRAM THAT BUDDIES OFFICERS WITH INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES TO LEARN ABOUT EACH OTHER AND BUILD COMMUNITY BONDS. AUTISM RUN CLUB IS A YEAR AROUND ACTIVITY AND MANY ATHLETES GO ON TO PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL 5K AND 10K RACES SPONSORED BY THE FLY BRAVE FOUNDATION. OTHER FITNESS PROGRAMS INCLUDE BASKETBALL SOCCER CLINICS AND SUMMER SWIMS. 419 FAMILIES WERE SERVED IN 2022 THROUGH FLY BRAVE'S FITNESS PROGRAMS.
