THE AAMC FOUNDATION WAS FORMED TO HEIGHTEN PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF THE CURATOR'S ROLE THROUGH LECTURES, SYMPOSIA, AND PUBLISHED MATERIALS AND TO AWARD GRANTS TO CURATORS TO IMPROVE THEIR ABILITY TO SERVE THE PUBLIC.

DIGITAL LITERACY - SUPPORTS CURATORS IN AN ENGAGED SERIES OF ONLINE AND IN-PERSON LEARNINGS AND PEER-TO-PEER SUPPORT TO ADVANCE DIGITAL LITERACIES, STORYTELLING, AND AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT.


THE PROGRAMS SUPPORT AND PROMOTE THE WORK OF NONPROFIT ART CURATOR MEMBERS WORKING BY CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR NETWORKING, COLLABORATION, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND ADVANCEMENT. IN SUPPORT OF THESE AIMS, OUR PROGRAMMING SEEKS TO HEIGHTEN PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF THE CURATOR'S ROLE THROUGH ONLINE AND INPERSON PROGRAMMING.


MENTORSHIP - A MULTIFACETED INITIATIVE DESIGNED TO SUPPORT AND ACCELERATE A CURATOR'S MID-CAREER ADVANCEMENT. THE PROGRAM IS THE LONGEST RUNNING INITIATIVE OF ITS KIND OFFERING BOTH TRAINING SESSIONS AND WORKSHOPS AS WELL AS SUPPORT THROUGH A PROFESSIONAL NETWORK INCLUDING A PAIRING WITH A SENIOR CURATORIAL MENTOR, A PEER COHORT, AND ALUMNI COMMUNITY.


PROFESSIONAL ALLIANCE FOR CURATORS OF COLOR (PACC) - PART OF THE AAMC FOUNDATION'S COMMITMENT TO ADVOCAY, INCLUSION, AND ACCESS. IT SEEKS TO ADDRESS ISSUES OF ISOLATIONISM, RACISM, INEQUITY, AND GATEKEEPING IN THE CURATORIAL PROFESSION.
