MUSIC IN THE PARK - MUSIC IN THE PARK HAS BEEN SAN JOSE'S PREMIERE AFTER-WORK MUSIC SERIES FOR 30-PLUS YEARS, WITH PERFORMANCES BY NATIONAL MUSICIANS IN A FAMILY-FRIENDLY SETTING AT PLAZA DE CESAR CHAVEZ. MUSIC IN THE PARK ENHANCES THE DOWNTOWN ENERGY AND VIBRANCY AND SUPPORTS DOWNTOWN BUSINESSES. SJDA PRODUCED OUR LAST CONCERT ON AUGUST 27, 2021 WITH REGGAE LEGEND J BOOG AND OPENER JORDAN T HEADLINING. ATTENDANCE FOR THE AUGUST SHOW TOTALED 4,500. ATTENDEES ENJOYED GREAT WEATHER AS WELL AS BEER, WINE AND FOOD FROM A NUMBER OF DOWNTOWN AND SAN JOSE EATERIES ONSITE.IN JULY 2022, SJDA TOOK ON AN INDUSTRY PARTNER MUSIC IN THE PARK, LLC AS PRODUCER FOR THE 2022-23 SEASON. SJDA WORKED CLOSELY WITH THE NEW PRODUCER ON ALL AREAS OF EVENT PRODUCTION TO TRANSITION KNOWLEDGE AND DETAILS, AND CONTINUES TO TAKE OUT EVENT PERMITS, SERVE AS 501(C) 6 LIAISON, ADD SPONSORSHIP SUPPORT AND LEND MARKETING, PUBLICITY AND PROMOTIONS ASSISTANCE. HEADLINING JULY'S MUSIC IN THE PARK SHOW WERE NEW WAVE '80S ICONS, A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS, AND ABC, LED BY AWARD-WINNING BRIT VOCALIST MARTIN FRY. HEADLINERS FOR AUGUST'S MUSIC IN THE PARK SHOW INCLUDED CLASSIC ROCK-R&B VETERANS WAR, ACCLAIMED AFRO-LATINO DUO LOS RAKAS. THE MARKETING CAMPAIGN INCLUDED EVENT POSTERS, PRINT, DIGITAL, RADIO, TELEVISION AND MULTIPLE SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS THAT INCLUDED PROMOTION OF THE EVENT ON FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM AND TWITTER.

DOWNTOWN ICE - DOWNTOWN ICE IS A TEMPORARY OUTDOOR HOLIDAY ICE RINK LOCATED IN DOWNTOWN SAN JOSE AND IS THE PREMIER HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE IN SAN JOSE. DOWNTOWN ICE FEATURES A ONE-OF-A-KIND SHAPED ICE RINK AND TRACK, INVITING VISITORS TO SKATE IN AND AROUND 32 PALM TREES AND HAS DELIGHTED CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH ITS HOLIDAY-THEMED ICE PARK FOR MORE THAN 25 YEARS. FROM FAMILIES TO FRIENDS, AND COUPLES TO COLLEAGUES, EVERYONE CAN ENJOY ICE SKATING IN SAN JOSE'S ICONIC CIRCLE OF PALMS SURROUNDED BY FESTIVE LIGHTS AND THE SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF THE SEASON. DOWNTOWN ICE OPENED AT THE CIRCLE OF PALMS NOV. 20, 2021 AND RAN THROUGH JAN. 9, 2022 DRAWING MORE THAN 32,000 SKATERS AND 64,000 SPECTATORS. SJDA TRANSITIONED THE OPERATIONS TO WILLY BIETAK PRODUCTIONS, OUR NEW ICE RINK PRODUCER. SJDA WORKED WITH BIETAK'S MARKETING TEAM TO TRANSITION DOWNTOWN ICE MEDIA PARTNERS, MARKETING PARTNERS AND SPONSORS.
