EDUCATIONAL COURSES: PROVIDING AND ASSISTING WITH EDUCATIONAL COURSES IS ONE OF OUR PRIMARY OBJECTIVES. TEXAS ENA PROMOTES STATE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES HELD, DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED BY STATE AND LOCAL CHAPTER MEMBERS. IN 2017, THE CHAPTER SPONSORED EMERGENCY NURSING AND GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS, CEN REVIEW COURSE, COOL TOPICS IN EMERGENCY AND TRAUMA CARE, HOT TOPICS IN THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT, GERIATRICS AND OLDER ADULT CARE AND NURSING JURISPRUDENCE & ETHICS. TENA ALSO SPONSORED AN EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE, ESSENTIALS IN EMERGENCY NURSING. THE TOPICS PRESENTED ARE BY EXPERIENCED, SKILLED PRESENTERES AND ARE WELL ATTENDED.


DELEGATE ASSISTANCE - TENA PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO ITS MEMBERS IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LATEST UPDATES AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE MISSION, VISION AND VALUE OF THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION. TENA ASSISTED OUR STATE REPRESENTATIVES IN ATTENDING THE ANNUAL NATIONAL MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 11TH - SEPTEMBER 16TH.


BOARD TRAVEL - TENA PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS IN ORDER TO COMPENSATE THEM FOR THE COST OF TRAVELING TO MEETINGS IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LATEST UPDATES AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE MISSION, VISION AND VALUE OF OUR STATE ORGANIZATION. THESE BOARD MEMBERS DO NOT RECEIVE MONETARY COMPENSATION FOR THEIR BOARD MEMBERSHIP AND WORK. HOWEVER, THEY ARE PROVIDED WITH REIMBURSEMENT FOR TRAVEL AND PER DIEM EXPENSES IN ORDER TO ATTEND STATE QUARTERLY MEETINGS. IN 2017, TENA PROVIDED TRAVEL ASSISTANCE TO NINE BOARD MEMBERS.
