THE AMARILLO POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION IS CURRENTLY MADE UP OF 300+ SWORN FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES OF THE AMARILLO POLICE DEPARTMENT. THE ASSOCIATION WAS FORMED IN 1980 AND HAS PROVIDED A VOICE FOR OUR MEMBERS OVER THE PAST FOUR DECADES. WE ARE AN ORGANIZATION THAT REPRESENTS ITS MEMBERS TO EFFECT POSITIVE CHANGES IN THE WORK PLACE. THE ASSOCIATION PROMOTES BENEVOLENT, CHARITABLE, CIVIC, PATRIOTIC AND FRATERNAL ACTIVITIES. AS AN ASSOCIATION, WE SUPPORT LOCAL NON-PROFITS AND ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY. WE ARE PROUD TO SERVE THE CITIZENS OF AMARILLO. THE APOA IS PART OF THE STATE ORGANIZATION KNOWN AS THE COMBINED LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSOCIATIONS OF TEXAS, CLEAT. CLEAT IS PART OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF POLICE ORGANIZATIONS, NAPO. OUR MEMBERS BELONG TO CLEAT AND NAPO WHICH GIVES US A VOICE ON THE STATE AND NATIONAL LEVEL.
