THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE DENVER BAR ASSOCIATION ("THE ASSOCIATION") FOUNDED THE DENVER BAR FOUNDATION ("THE FOUNDATION"). THE FOUNDATION WAS FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE ASSOCIATION'S METRO VOLUNTEER LAWYERS PROGRAM. THE METRO VOLUNTEER LAWYERS PROGRAM PROVIDES PRO-BONO CIVIL LEGAL SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS WHO CANNOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THE SERVICES. THE FOUNDATION OBTAINS ITS PRIMARY SUPPORT THROUGH DONATIONS FROM ASSOCIATION MEMBERS, GRANTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS, AND FUNDRAISING EVENTS.

THE FOUNDATION UNDERWRITES THE DENVER BAR ASSOCIATION'S METRO VOLUNTEER LAWYER PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES VOLUNTEER CIVIL LEGAL SERVICES TO LOCAL, DENVER AREA RESIDENTS WHO CANNOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THE SERVICES. THE FOUNDATION OBTAINS ITS PRIMARY SUPPORT THROUGH DONATIONS FROM DENVER BAR ASSOCIATION MEMBERS, GRANTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS, AND FUNDRAISING EVENTS.


DAVIS AWARD FUND - RECOGNITION AWARDS TO LAWYERS CHOSEN BY THE FOUNDATION WHO COMBINE EXCELLENCE AS A LAWYER WITH CREATIVE LEADERSHIP IN THE CIVIC, CULTURAL, EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMUNITY, PURSUANT TO A SPECIAL DONATION.
