PROVIDED TWO CONFERENCES AND ONE WINTER WORKSHOP TO OVER 750 PARTICIPANTS. ALSO PROVIDED PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS A THE SPRING AND FALL CONFERENCES ON GOVERNMENT-RELATED TOPICS. CONFERENCE AND WORKSHOPS PROVIDED AFFORDABLE AND RELEVANT CONTINUING EDUCATION IN THE AREA OF GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTING FINANCIAL REPORTING AND COMPLIANCE. TWO GRANTS OF $1,000 WERE AWARDED TO TWO MEMBERS WHO ARE ENROLLED IN A RELATED DEGREE PROGRAM AT LOUISIANA UNIVERSITIES. RECIPIENTS ARE SELECTED ON THE BASIS OF CAREER PLANS ACADEMIC RECORD AND OR EXPERIENCE PREVIOUS COURSEWORK AND PRESENT PLAN OF STUDY AND GRADE POINT AVERAGE.
