TO PROMOTE THE UNDERSTANDING, APPRECIATION AND PROTECTION OF THE BIODIVERSITY OF THE FEATHER RIVER REGION, ESPECIALLY BIRDS, THROUGH EDUCATION, RESEARCH, RESTORATION AND CONSERVATION.

IN ADDITION TO THE INTENSIVE MONITORING ON THE LAKES, WE HAVE BEEN BUSY CONDUCTING DIVERSE EDUCATION AND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES NEAR THE LAKES. WE HAVE INSTALLED A VARIETY OF SIGNS AT STRATEGIC LOCATIONS AROUND THE BREEDING LAKES. THESE SIGNS ALERT LAKE USERS ABOUT THE GREBES AND THEIR NESTING AREAS. WE HAVE ALSO CREATED AND ARE DISTRIBUTING A TRI-FOLD BROCHURE THAT IS WIDELY AVAILABLE AT NUMEROUS LOCATIONS THAT SERVE EACH OF THE LAKES.


MONITORING OF ECOSYSTEMS, PLUS OUTREACH AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES NEAR GREBE NESTING AREAS AROUND LOCAL LAKES.
