LAW CONSISTS OF APPROXIMATELY 400 MEMBERS WHO ARE LAWYERS IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE LEGAL FIELD BOTH IN PRIVATE AND PUBLIC PRACTICE. LAW'S PREMIER EVENT IS A BREAKFAST HELD IN NOVEMBER EVERY YEAR ON THE MORNING OF THE SWEARING IN OF NEW LAWYERS WITH THE SUPREME COURT OF TENNESSEE TO CELEBRATE NEW ADMITTEES TO THE BAR AND THEIR FAMILIES. LAW ALSO HOLDS MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP LUNCHEONS IN ORDER FOR ATTORNEYS TO NETWORK AND GAIN CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT. IN ADDITION, LAW HOSTS AN ANNUAL DINNER AND AWARDS BANQUET IN APRIL OF EVERY YEAR TO CELEBRATE RECIPIENTS OF THE RISING STAR AWARD, THE MARTHA C. DAUGHTREY AWARD AND A LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL ESSAY CONTEST WINNER WHICH CONTEST IS ORGANIZED BY THE DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION COMMITTEE OF LAW. THE NEW SLATE OF OFFICERS IS ALSO VOTED UPON AT THIS MEETING OF THE MEMBERSHIP. IN ADDITION TO THESE EVENTS, LAW HOSTS MENTORING, NETWORKING, PRACTICING PARENTS AND WELLNESS EVENTS FOR ITS MEMBERS. LAW ALSO ISSUES A BI-MONTHLY NEWSLETTER FOR ITS MEMBERS CONTAINING ARTICLES OF INTEREST, RECAPS OF THE MONTHLY MEETINGS, MEMBER SPOTLIGHT ARTICLES AND TRAVEL ARTICLES, TO NAME A FEW.
