THE MISSION OF THE MARTINSBURG-BERKELEY COUNTY OF COMMERCE IS TO FACILITATE THE ECONOMIC PROGRESS OF ITS MEMBERS.

OUR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HAS APPROXIMATELY 500 MEMBERS WITH MORE THAN 1,400 REPRESENTATIVES. WE HELD OVER 75 INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS, STATEWIDE LEGISLATIVE ISSUES MEETINGS, AND 11 BUSINESS NETWORKING MIXERS. WE ALSO HELD OTHER EVENTS WHICH INCLUDED PROVIDING WELCOME BAGS TO TEACHERS, AN AUCTION EVENT, ANNUAL BUSINESS RECOGNITION EVENT, AND CORPORATE GOLF TOURNAMENT. WE DISTRIBUTED INFORMATION TO OUR MEMBERS ON COVID-19 RESOURCES AND BUSINESS ISSUES THROUGH OUR MONTHLY ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTER AND DAILY BROADCAST EMAILS. OUR COMMITTEES ADDRESSED MANY ISSUES INCLUDING WORKFORCE NEEDS, TRANSPORATION, AND OTHER COMMUNITY ISSUES AND WORKED WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AND COMPANIES TO ATTRACT NEW BUSINESSES, PROFESSIONALS, AND INDUSTRIES THAT WOULD COMPLEMENT EXISTING BUSINESSES AND INDUSTRIES. WE ALSO INCREASED OUR EFFORTS IN SHARING INFORMATION ABOUT OUR BUSINESSES AND THE IMPORTANCE OF SUPPORTING THE LOCAL BUSINESS COMMUNITY. PROGRAMS AND EVENTS WERE HELD EITHER IN PERSON OR VIA ZOOM, WHICH ENABLED US TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND INFORMATION SHARING TO OUR MEMBERS AND PARTICIPANTS REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY WERE LOCATED.
