PROMOTE EXPANDED ACCESS TO GOVERNMENT RECORDS, MEETINGS AND OTHER PROCEEDINGS AT THE VIRGINIA STATE AND LOCAL LEVEL. EFFORTS ARE FOCUSED SOLEY AT THE STATE AND LOCAL LEVEL. PROTECT FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AND ADVOCACY.

PROVIDED SERVICES AND RESOURCES TO CITIZENS, MEDIA, AND GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS IN VIRGINIA THROUGH ANNUAL CONFERENCE, WORKSHOPS, PRESENTATIONS, DAILY EMAIL UPDATES, NEWSLETTER, SOCIAL MEDIA CONTACT, WEB-SITE AND PHONE HOT LINE SERVICES. PARTICIPATION IN LEGISLATIVE STUDY COMMITTEES AND LOBBYING DURING THE LEGISLATIVE SESSION ON OPEN GOVERNMENT ISSUES. ALSO WORKED WITH CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS AND INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND EDITORIAL CONTENT TO STATE AND LOCAL NEWS MEDIA. ORGANIZED VIRGINIA'S CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE NATIONAL OPEN GOVERNMENT CAMPAIGN.
