THE COALITION IS AN INTER-FAITH GROUP OF CONGREGATIONS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS WHO COLLECTIVELY RESPOND TO MEET THE EMERGENCY PHYSICAL NEEDS OF FREDERICK COUNTY RESIDENTS WITH FOOD OR MONEY THAT IS PAID DIRECTLY TO VENDORS

SHELTER PROGRAMS: THE ALAN P. LINTON SHELTER OPERATES ON A YEAR-ROUND BASIS AND PROVIDES A WARM, SAFE HAVEN FOR HOMELESS MEN AND WOMEN. IN 2020, THE YEAR-ROUND SHELTER ASSISTED 273 INDIVIDUALS WHO RECEIVED 27,182 BED NIGHTS.


EMERGENCY FAMILY SHELTER PROGRAM: THIS IS A PROGRAM FOR HOMELESS FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN. THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE HOMELESS FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN SHELTER AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES, 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK. THE PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE FAMILIES WITH CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR EMPLOYMENT AND SECURING PERMANENT HOUSING. IN 2020, 24 FAMILIES RECEIVED 3,972 BED NIGHTS.


HOUSING: THE COALITION PREVENTS EVICTIONS BY PROVIDING ASSISTANCE WITH RENT AND SECURITY DEPOSITS. THEY ALSO PROVIDE EMERGENCY SHORT-TERM PLACEMENT IN MOTELS FOR HOMELESS FAMILIES . IN 2020, SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO 683 HOUSEHOLDS.


HEALTHCARE SERVICES WHICH INCLUDED 117 UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS RECEIVING 230 PRESCRIPTION VOUCHERS FOR A TOTAL OF 534 PRESCRIPTIONS AND INDIVIDUALS WHO WERE HELPED WITH DENTAL ASSISTANCE.

THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE HOMELESS FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN SHELTER AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES, 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK. THE PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE FAMILIES WITH CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR EMPLOYMENT AND SECURING PERMANENT HOUSING. FROM JANUARY 1, 2021 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2021, 54 FAMILIES RECEIVED 2,674 BED NIGHTS.
