THROUGHOUT THE COURSE OF 2022, THE ERC CONDUCTED A TOTAL OF 845 CIVIL RIGHTS TESTS, RESPONDED TO 421 INDIVIDUALS REPORTING DISCRIMINATION, FILED 24 ADMINISTRATIVE COMPLAINTS WITH LOCAL CIVIL RIGHTS ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES, AND SUBMITTED 30 REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION AND MODIFICATION REQUESTS ON BEHALF OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. THE ERC ALSO TRAINED HOUSING PROFESSIONALS AND MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY ABOUT FAIR HOUSING AND ACCESSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS. THE ORGANIZATION FILED LITIGATION AGAINST A DC HOUSING PROVIDER ALLEGING IT ENGAGED IN ILLEGAL SOURCE OF INCOME AND RACE DISCRIMINATION. IT SETTLED A LONGSTANDING CASE WHICH REQUIRED WALTER REED MILITARY HOSPITAL TO COME INTO FULL COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE STANDARDS FOR RESTROOM ACCESSIBILITY. ERC ALSO LAUNCHED AN ACCESSIBILITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE, AND ITS EMPLOYMENT TESTING OF NATIONAL RESTAURANT CHAIN CHIPOTLE WAS FEATURED IN A REPORT. THE ORGANIZATION DEVELOPED AND DISTRIBUTED NUMEROUS MISSION RELATED EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS THROUGHOUT THE COURSE OF THE YEAR.
