THE EXEMPT PURPOSE OF BERKELEY ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE ASSN. IS TO EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY TO ENCOURAGE AND SECURE PRESERVATION OF THOSE STRUCTURES, SITES AND AREAS WHICH HAVE SPECIAL ARCHITECTURAL, HISTORIC OR AESTHETIC VALUE CONTRIBUTING TO THE ENRICHMENT OF BERKELEY'S ENVIRONMENT AND HERITAGE.

HISTORICAL RESEARCH ON THE HISTORY AND ARCHITECTURE OF BUILDINGS AND PEOPLE IN BERKELEY WAS CONDUCTED BY OUR STAFF UPON REQUEST BY EMAIL OR BY TELEPHONE, A SERVICE THAT WE ARE KNOWN FOR. BUT THE RESEARCH OFFICE WAS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY REASONS.
