EXEMPT FUNCTION NOW IS TO CONSOLIDATE ALL SENIOR PROGRAM SUBSIDIES AND HAVE ONE AMOUNT FOR COUNTY TAX LEVY. PROGRAMS INCLUDE AREA AGENCY ON AGING, 5 SENIOR CENTERS IN COUNTY, HOME HEALTH CARE AND OTHER SENIOR RELATED ACTIVITES.

SENIOR CENTERS OF COFFEY COUNTY SUBSIDY REPAIR ANDMAINTENACE ASSISTANCEALL FUNDS ARE TRANSFERED TO THE FIVE SENIOR CENTERS IN COFFEY COUNTY BASED ON POPULATION AND NEEDS. GRIDLEY GETS LESS BECAUSE THEY DO NOT MAINTAIN A BUILDING.


COUNTY SUBSIDY TO PROVIDE DAILY MEALS TO SHUT-INS AND CONGREGATE SITES IN COFFEY COUNTY. THIS PROGRAM IS SUBSIDISED BY THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT AND THE ABOVE GRANT IS A SMALL PART OF TOTAL COST.


AREA AGENCY ON AGING PROGRAMS FOR THE EDERLY BASED ON THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT. ASSISTANCE FOR AGING TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN A HOME BASE ENVIRONMENT.
