HOMESTEAD NUTRITION PROJECTFEDERAL TITLE III-C (1) U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICESTHE OBJECTIVES OF THE SPECIAL PROGRAMS FOR THE AGING, TITLE III-C, PART (1) NUTRITION SERVICES ARE TO PROVIDE OLDER PERSONS WITH LOW COST NUTRITIOUS MEALS, APPROPRIATE NUTRITION EDUCATION, AND OTHER APPROPRIATE NUTRITION SERVICES IN A CONGREGATE SETTING.FEDERAL TITLE III-C (2) - U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICESTHE OBJECTIVES OF THE SPECIAL PROGRAMS FOR THE AGING, TITLE III-C, PART (2) NUTRITION SERVICES ARE TO PROVIDE OLDER PERSONS WITH LOW COST NUTRITIOUS MEALS, APPROPRIATE NUTRITION EDUCATION, AND OTHER APPROPRIATE NUTRITION SERVICES DELIVERED TO THE HOME.U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURETHE OBJECTIVES OF THE FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM ARE TO IMPROVE THE DIETS OF SCHOOL AND PRESCHOOL CHILDREN, THE ELDERLY, NEEDY PERSONS IN CHARITABLE INSTITUTIONS AND OTHER INDIVIDUALS IN NEED OF FOOD ASSISTANCE, AND TO INCREASE THE MARKET FOR DOMESTICALLY PRODUCED FOODS ACQUIRED UNDER SURPLUS REMOVAL OR PRICE SUPPORT OPERATIONS.


SERVICES FOR THE AGINGFEDERAL TITLE III-B U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICESTHE OBJECTIVES OF THE SPECIAL PROGRAMS FOR THE AGING, TITLE III-B ARE TO (1) HELP OLDER PERSONS SECURE AND MAINTAIN MAXIMUM INDEPENDENCE AND DIGNITY IN A HOME ENVIRONMENT; (2) REMOVE BARRIERS TO INDEPENDENCE FOR OLDER PERSONS; AND (3) PROVIDE A CONTINUUM OF CARE FOR THE VULNERABLE ELDERLY.
