RESTORED SAFE PUBLIC ACCESS TO, AND FULL USE OF, MUSEUM RESEARCH LIBRARY'S COLLECTION OF BOOKS, ARCHIVAL ITEMS, NEWSPAPER MICROFILM, HISTORICAL PERIODICALS, LOCAL HISTORY FILES AND GENEOLOGY RESOURCES (SERVING APPROXIMQTELY 1,750 RESEARCH CLIENTS ANNUALLY) THROUGH OVERHAUL OF HYDRAULIC SYSTEM ON 27-YEAR-OLD ELEVATOR AND REPLACEMENT OF FAILED PHOTOCOPIER.


PRESERVED HISTORICAL ARTIFACTS AND REDUCED ENERGY USAGE BY REPLACING 51 ULTRAVIOLET-PRODUCING FLUORESCENT LIGHT FIXTURES IN TWO MUSEUM EXHIBIT AREAS, PUBLIC CONFERENCE ROOM USED FOR PRESENTATIONS, MAIN AND UPPER FLOOR HALLWAYS AND WORK AREAS.


STAGED SERIES OF FIVE SHORT-TERM HISTORY EXHIBITS NOTING 160TH BIRTHDAY OF KANSAS, 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF WESTERN KANSAS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, VICTORIAN-ERA INTIMATE ATTIRE, 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 911 ATTACKS AND ANTIQUE MECHANICAL CHRISTMAS DIORAMA.


CONTINUED PRIOR YEAR PROJECTS OF TOURS TO THE MUSEUM BY AREA SCHOOL CHILDREN. CONTINUED FRONT DOOR REVOLVING EXHIBITS, AND SUMMER TOURS OF THE ONE ROOM SCHOOLHOUSE AND 1884 HOUSE BUILT BY LOCAL CITY FOUNDER.
