THE GRADUATE ORTHODONTIC RESIDENTS PROGRAM'S PRIMARY PURPOSE AND ACTIVITY IS TO PROVIDE A VENUE IN WHICH U.S. AND CANADIAN ORTHODONTIC RESIDENTS CAN COME TOGETHER EACH SUMMER IN A RELAXED ATMOSPHERE TO BECOME ACQUAINTED WITH COLLEAGUES THEY WILL KNOW AND WORK WITH FOR THE REST OF THEIR PROFESSIONAL CAREERS. THIS NATIONAL ANNUAL GATHERING ALSO PROVIDES THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE ORTHODONTISTS OF THE FUTURE TO MEET WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ORTHODONTIC LABORATORIES, COMPANIES, AND OTHER ENTITIES THAT PROVIDE MATERIALS AND COMPUTER SERVICES TO THE SPECIALTY. IN ADDITION, THE RESIDENTS INTERACT WITH MAJOR ORTHODONTIC PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF ORTHODONTISTS, THE AMERICAN BOARD OF ORTHODONTICS, AND THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF ORTHODONTISTS FOUNDATION.
