SOUTHEASTERN NORTH CAROLINA WATERFOWL: SIG-NAL BEGAN A NEW PROJECT FUNDED BY A PRIVATE FOUNDATION THAT IS WORKING WITH A UNIVERSITY IN DELAWARE TO RESEARCH AND STUDY THE GREEN-WINGED TEAL'S WINTERING HABITAT USE, MOVEMENT, AND BIOENERGETICS IN COASTAL NORTH CAROLINA.
GREEN ECONOMY SCIENTIFIC FOUNDATION - SIG-NAL IS PARTNERING WITH USAID/RDMA, USFS, AND UN FAO TO EXAMINE THE CARBON POOLS, BOTH SINKS AND SOURCES, ON LANDS THAT HAVE LIKELY HAD A LOSS OF FOREST COVER AND SIMULTANEOUS REPLACEMENT BY AGRICULTURAL LAND USES.
