PROMOTING CORN AND RELATED INDUSTRIES THROUGH ISSUING 4 NEWSLETTERS A YEAR TO APPROXIMATELY 1,800 CORN GROWER MEMBERS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF NORTH DAKOTA. ATTENDING BIG IRON AND KMOT FARM SHOWS TO TALK WITH FARMERS ABOUT CURRENT ISSUES. MEETINGS WITH CONGRESSIONAL STAFF, LEGISLATIVE STAFF AND STATE EXECUTIVE OFFICERS TO DISCUSS ETHANOL, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY, TRADE AND FARM BILL NEEDS ON BEHALF OF STATE CORN FARMERS. EDUCATE STATE AND NATIONAL LEADERS ON IMPORTANCE OF CORN TO THE NATIONAL ECONOMY. WORK WITH NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS ON POLICY ISSUES AFFECTING CORN.


SCHOLARSHIPS ARE GIVEN TO CHILDREN OF ASSOCIATION MEMBERS THAT ARE SENIORS IN HIGH SCHOOL OR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS THAT PROVIDE US THE REQUESTED INFORMATION. ONE SCHOLARSHIP IS AWARDED TO EACH DISTRICT(7) PLUS AN ADDITIONAL THREE TO THE MOST DESERVING STUDENTS. TOTAL SCHOLARSHIPS - 10
