THE INTERTRIBAL AGRICULTURE COUNCIL WAS FOUNDED IN 1987 TO PURSUE AND PROMOTE THE CONSERVATION, DEVELOPMENT AND USE OF OUR AGRICULTURAL RESOURCES FOR THE BETTERMENT OF NATIVE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

PROGRAM SERVICES CONSIST OF PROMOTING NATIVE AMERICAN ENTERPRISES, EXPANDING AGRICULTURE EDUCATION, AND PROMOTING OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN AGRICULTURE. THESE SERVICES ARE ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH A NUMBER OF AVENUES: HOLDING ANNUAL AND REGIONAL MEETINGS, TRADESHOWS AND SYMPOSIUMS; MAINTAINING AND UPDATING AN INFORMATIONAL WEBSITE, AND MEETING ONE-ON-ONE WITH PRODUCERS. CURRENT MEMBER TRIBES NUMBER 61.
