THE LAKE COUNTY DEVELOPMENT ACHIEVEMENT CENTER (LCDAC) PROVIDES A RANGE OF QUALITY INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICES FOR ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. SERVICES PROMOTE VOCATIONAL TRAINING, EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, PERSONAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT, LEISURE-RECREATIONAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT, AND COMMUNITY INTEGRATION OPPORTUNITIES. THE LCDAC IN TWO HARBORS OFFERS A 240 -DAY SCHEDULE IN WHICH TRAINED STAFF WORK WITH INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES TO MAKE HAND LOOMED RUGS, SHRED CONFIDENTIAL DOCUMENTS, AND PERFORM OTHER VARIOUS JOBS CONTRACTED THROUGH LOCAL BUSINESSES.
THE LAKE COUNTY DEVELOPMENTAL ACHIEVEMENT CENTER OPERATES A 250 DAY PROGRAM AT THE RECYCLING CENTER IN TWO HARBORS, IN WHICH TRAINED STAFF WORK WITH DISABLED ADULTS TO WORK ON VARIOUS ASPECTS OF RECYCLING MATERIALS.
THE LAKE COUNTY DEVELOPMENTAL ACHIEVEMENT CENTER OPERATES A CHORE CREW, IN WHICH TRAINED STAFF WORK WITH DISABLED ADULTS DOING LAWN CARE, SNOW REMOVAL, AND RECYCLING PICK-UPS FOR LOCAL CUSTOMERS.
