THE HUTCHINSON AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS ENGAGED IN THE PROMOTION OF AREA BUSINESSES AND ACTIVITIES THROUGH PUBLIC AWARENESS, EDUCATION, CIVIC, AND CULTURAL PROGRAMS. A VARIETY OF EVENTS AND PROGRAMS ARE HOSTED ANNUALLY TO SUPPORT VARIOUS INDUSTRIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO : AG SEMINAR, DAIRY DAYS, ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL, CRAZY DAYS, GOLF CHALLENGE, BRING IT HOME EXPO, AND MUSIC IN THE PARK.
ITS DIVISION, THE HUTCHINSON AREA CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU, RECEIVES FUNDING FROM CITY OF HUTCHINSON LODGING TAXES TO PROMOTE THE CITY OF HUTCHINSON AS A TOURIST DESTINATION. THE VISITOR GUIDE IS PUBLISHED TO AID TOURISTS WITH AREA ATTRATCTIONS AND CURRENT EVENTS. MARKETING ADS ARE USED IN A VARIETY OF PUBLICATIONS, AND EVENTS HAVE BEEN DESIGNED TO DRAW PEOPLE TO HUTCHINSON. THE CHAMBER SUPPORTS LARGE EVENTS WHICH ALSO DRAW NUMEROUS PEOPLE TO OUR AREA.
THE HUTCHINSON AMBASSADORS ARE THE SOCIAL & WELCOMING ARM OF THE CHAMBER, WELCOMING NEW BUSINESSES AND CELEBRATING MILESTONES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. THE AMBASSADORS HOST BUSINESS AFTER HOURS, TASTE OF HUTCHINSON, AND TASTE OF THE HOLIDAYS. SPECIAL FUNDRAISING PROJECTS FOCUS ON COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT AND PRIDE.
