THE FOUNDATION'S PRIMARY CHARITABLE ACTIVITY IS THE COLLECTION, ANALYSIS, AND PUBLICATION OF INVESTIGATIVE REPORTS ON MEDICAL CARE AND RELATED COSTS IN MILWAUKEE, WI VERSUS OTHER MIDWESTERN CITIES. THESE REPORTS INCLUDE THE STUDIES OF: HEALTH CARE COSTS, MEDICARE PATIENT MEDICAL TREATMENT COSTS, COMMERCIAL HEALTH PLAN COSTS AND MEASUREMENT METHODOLOGY OF SMALL MEDICAL PRACTICES. THESE ACTIVITIES ALLOW THE FOUNDATION TO OFFER FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO VARIOUS QUALIFIED ORGANIZATIONS IN WISCONSIN AND THE GREATER MILWAUKEE AREA SERVING THE HEALTH NEEDS OF THOSE IN THE COMMUNITY THROUGH VARIOUS PROGRAMS INCLUDING SAFETY-NET CLINICS, DRUG ASSISTANCE, FUNDS TO ENROLL THE UNINSURED, AND HELPING HOMELESS HOSPITAL PATIENTS NAVIGATE TO HOUSING.
